The members are all around the same age Prodigy is the oldest, with Ray Ray right behind him, Princeton and Roc Royal. There was an audition in Los Angles with hundreds of kids that were audtioning for the group named Mindless Behavior. Ray Ray was the last to join the group with his audtion video.
The group was soon to start working on music to get them an audience. Since then, the group started close to their teenage years and got popular in their teens, they have a early teen and preteen like audience. They released their first single called " My Girl" was released in late 2010. There was soon a music video made for it. Their next single "Mrs.Right" was released in 2011. Finnally their last single "Girls Talking Bout" was relased in 2011. All with music videos. In between the radio appearances and their frequent appearances on BET's 106 & Park, they created a remix for "My Girl" also with a music video. Artist like Tyga, Lil Twist and Ciara joing in this remake. They were opening acts for Justin Bieber, Jason Durelo and the Backstreet Boys. They also did a sole opening for Janet Jackson's #1's tour in 2011. These frequent tours were to get them popular as due with any new performer(s). Starting in about mid July 2011, they stopped in Janet Jackson's #1's tour to headlined a tour called Closer To My Dreams tour with Diggy Simmons, Lil Twist, Tyga, Trevante and Jawan Harris.
That tour ended in about late August. On Septemeber 20,2011 and just in time for the new schoolyear they released their first album that was called #1 Girl since ALL the songs were about girls. The boys were getting older hitting 14 and going on 15. Their audience was mostly african american, but like many other artist such as Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men, they were hoping to change that. They started another tour a few days after that and to do another tour to get them more popularity. In very late September or early October and it was called The Scream Tour. The Scream Tour featured artist like Diggy Simmons, OMG Girls, Jacob Latimore and Hamilton Park. Their singles, music videos, and album reached enough popularity to do the second part of the Scream Tour. A European leg of the Scream Tour. The tour took a break and start back up in Europe in about Feburary of 2012. Durning this break, they were created the single "Christmas With My Girl" and a muisc video for the fans since it was getting close to the holidays. They were also going around the USA doing autograph signing copies of their album #1 girl. They went to cities such as Chicago and Detroit. Now easing up to the summer ,they decieded to do another tour that would headline them with their album #1 girl. This tour had the artist Lil Twist,Jacob Latimore and Kayla Briana. They are all artist that want to make a big break and trying to build their popularity.
Also in about early 2012, in Feburary around Valentine's Day, the group released a single called "Valentine's Girl" also in the spirit of Valentine's Day. They made a music video for it too.
So far so good for Mindless Behavior. Lots of people say that Mindless Behavior reminds them of the early 2000s' group such as B2K, a little Boyz to Men and the Jackson 5. Their inspirations are also right up that alley with artist such as Michael Jackson, Kayne West, Drake, Justin Timberlake and Usher. Roc Royal is the group's rapper. Ray Ray is a singer and freesylist. Prodigy is the lead singer and the singer on lots of their songs.Mostly Princeton, Roc Royal and Ray Ray sing a lot of the backgrounds for the songs as well.
Around this time they created a music video for their fourth single "Hello". The group was off to a good start and they were capable of even more. They did performances on the TV talk shows, Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel.Their appearances also on 106& Park. They even got a performance in early 2012 to perform at the Soul Train Awards. They were presenters in June of 2012 for the BET awards. They also got their first award, Pepsi-Cola Viewers Choice Award. They are going to make it.They have met many successful artist such as Justin Bieber ,Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Drake.
In late 2011, they created a TV documentary called Coutdown to Mindless Behavior. Where in that half an hour, there were clips of them that have never been seen before. Showing them before and after concerts and on their days off. They showed the process of making #1 Girl. Clips of interviews and what other people that help keep them grounded like Keisha and Walter. This is also to increase their popularity and it worked. Later it was announced that there will be European dates for the Scream Tour.
As far as the end of 2012, Mindless Behavior is expected (as of November) to create a movie to release to,again, create more popularity.
After doing the Europe leg of their #1 Girl tour, they finished that up and came back to begin another CD. On January 22, 2013, Mindless Behavior released their first single for their future CD title All Around the World. The was written by Sean Garrett, Team S. Dot, and Jason Twist. There is a video for the song that features Mindless Behavior's amazing new dance moves and manly developed voices. Growing up and getting deep into high school, by appearance and the sound of their voice you could easily tell that they were getting over and the boy time image from songs like My Girl, were started to fade away.
The second single for the ' All Around the World' is All around the world the song. It is the first track on the album too. It was written by Walter Millsap III, and Hallway Productionz. It was released March 1, 2013. It was often compared to Justin Bieber's single All around the world from his Believe CD that had hit it's pinnacle popularity in the summer of 2012. The video for it shows Mindless Behavior at their absolute best to me. From Keep her on the low too, this and the whole CD period shows a new style of Mindless Behavior fans have never seen before. In suits dressed up like men instead of wearing some of the most popular clothes in videos and dancing and singing. It definitely shows an improvement. That's why I like it so much, because they are growing up without getting into trouble, they are staying grounded and being role models for their fans. Even if they are getting older, their fans are always in the front of their mind.
The third single from the CD is called " Used to be" was released right around the time that their fans started to get out of school on June 10,2013. The song is mainly about the boys singing about a breakup. It was primarily new song for them. They've never really sang a breakup song before. Normally their songs are songs that focus on getting the girl or how amazing the relationship is or the future of themselves, but not in Used to be. In the video, Prodigy is on a bed upset because of a girl he lost and remembering the relationship that he and the girl used to have. Again, the masculinity of this song and the whole CD is an improvement. Which their fan base can grow even larger if they release more CD's like this.
The actual CD All around the world was released on March 12,2013. There are eleven songs on the CD. The fourth track, ' I lean' is featuring Soulja Boy and the fifth track, ' Pretty Girl' are featuring Jacob Latimore and Lil' Twist. It sold over 37,000 copies in it's first week. When it was first released it got number 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and number one on the top hip hop/ R&B albums.
Mindless Behavior announced there would be a tour for All Around the World during the summer of 2013 hitting cities across the United States like Philadelphia, Detroit and Los Angles. Mixed with CD signings for them to sign copies of their CD at every city they visit on their tour. They are currently doing great and are close to ending the tour and hopefully more things will be in store for Mindless Behavior!
